Shabby or Shiny Stockings?

One of my favorite things about Christmas decor is the stockings "hung by the chimney with care."  I usually spend just as much on filling the stockings though as I do a large gift, so this year we're not doing any.  What a bummer.  Our family opens all our gifts Christmas Eve so we have nothing in the morning.  Oh well.  What about you?  Do you do stockings?

As some of you know, I visited the set of "Pretty Little Liars" at the Warner Bros. lot last night and it was amazing.  I will be sharing the photos with you tomorrow!

Don't forget to enter my LoveMode giveaway, which ends tomorrow!

Every year we get a stack of Santa presents (big presents, just from santa) and whatever;s in our stockings ( usually jewelry, makeup, hair things, movies). Then the presents under the tree are from our parents :)

I do stockings every year. My mom and dad still fill my stockings when I go home for the holidays.

I LOVE ME SOME STOCKINGS!! I look forward to presents in my stocking more than my actual christmas present. With a baby on the way, this year hubby and I have decided to do stockings only!....yaaaaaay!! and since that's my favorite thing, I couldn't be happier!

I'm a lover of both shabby and shiny stockings...I have a hard time deciding when it comes to decorating the mantel every year! Since hubby is more coastal casual we tend to stick to the natural look. He'd have heart failure if I "Holiday Blinged" the house! (lol)

Have a beautiful day, Kori! xo

Pretty Little Liars is such a cute show. You are so lucky to visit the set.

The stockings are certainly interesting. I think we are going for something more traditional this year.

I love filling stockings almost as much as finding larger gifts. There are so many little trinkets and things that are perfect for different personalities. And my family's weird and we change our stocking almost every year (who can pass up those clearance deals?)

Gah, I love stockings! We do them ever year, but just put fun little things in them!

We don't do stockings anymore...or even a tree. Sad right? My parents are lazy now that my brother and I are older :(

OMG, those heels are awesome! Stockings were always a big deal growing up. It’s where we got all of our gift cards and jewelry. So now that’s all we do with my family. Since we’re all adults and don’t really need anything, we set a $15 limit per person. It actually makes it kind of fun and you have to get creative with it. Unfortunately for my house, with my kids, we don’t have a fireplace so our stockings are hung on the bookshelf with care. Hahaha.

We do all presents Christmas Eve and stockings in the morning.
When I was little we always had one "special gift from Santa" to open on Christmas Day.

*sigh*
the older the resident teen gets, the bigger his "requests" get (we're talkin' a set of tires this year!!!) but I will admit... I fill his stocking full of all things sugary and cavity causing. ;-D

BEAUTIFUL photos!!!

We absolutely do stockings! But we don't fill them with anything because our dollar store stocking holders don't work very well. And our stockings aren't nearly as fancy as the ones in your pictures! I love seeing them hanging off the mantle.

I do stockings every year. I love the pictures you posted, I'm definitely whipping out my sewing machine and making me a high-heeled stocking for next year!

I love the high heeled ones. I have one my grandmother made for my first stocking that is like that. I never used it because she didn't know mother & her grandmother had already made some for the family.
