Relaxation and a Pina Colada

Well, it's been a tough week, that's for sure.  My spring break is so late this year (the end of April), then we come back and we're out for the summer on June 10.  Having summers off is one of the many reasons I love being a teacher, but it's not often I get to actually go somewhere.

I haven't been to Hawaii since 2008, and I'm dying for a trip.  It's my source of comfort and relaxation and I'm seriously thinking I need a trip.

I got side swiped yesterday, and am not looking forward to getting my car fixed.  I also decided to push my novel release date back to May 6, if you noticed the counter on my sidebar.  I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to get everything done, and wanted to enjoy the process.  I hope to make it great so some of you want to buy it!  Hope you all have a great weekend friends.  In the meantime, what's your favorite vacation spot where you can just RELAX?

Any place with a beach is relaxing for me. Fortunately, I live in California, so the beach is never very far away.

Eager to get your novel when it's released!

The beach! We typically fly over to Southern California and hit the beach once or twice a month during the summer/fall to get out of the heat (I live in Arizona). I love the sound of the surf and the feel of squishing the sand between my toes. One of my other favorite places is Grand Cayman (before the hurricane) and Ochos Rios, Jamaica. Oh, I think the beach and a mojito is calling my name - can you hear it?Thanks for sharing.

By the way I'd love to go back to Hawaii and visit my best girlfriend and her two beautiful daughters -- a few fun days at the beach with them would be absolutely fabulous right now!

I love Hawaii. It is one of my favorite places to go in the world. Good for you for deciding to push back the date. You should give yourself all the time you need so you put out something that you are proud of instead of rushing to meet a date and regretting something. Hope you're having a good one! xoxo

Great post! Reminds me that summer is near. I love going back home to KY and spending weekends relaxing on the boat at the lake. Hawaii would be nice too, though. Have a great day!

San Francisco! It's all hustle and bustle, even on my vacation I can't help but want to get up and walk around the city and up and down those crazy steep streets until it feels like my legs might pop off. So worth it!
