I don't know why, but I've been thinking about Lana Turner lately. What a classic beauty! Lana was born in 1921 and died in 1995 (long life!). I'm sure you know about the controversy surrounding her and her lover (if you've read my blog before), but I loved her in The Postman Always Rings Twice. Here are some shots of Lana. Those are gorgeous photos. I'd never heard about the Stompanato affair before: I have to repeat Lily Lemontree; it's a fascinating story!
As for my favorite Lana film, it's definitely Johnny Eager, but I also liked her a lot in the (much) less serious Slightly Dangerous.
She is incredibly gorgeous!
I recently read her auto-bio; was very fascinating! She definitely never gave up on love either =)
