RIP Marilyn

Today marks the 48th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death. To this day, we don't know the exact circumstances surrounding her mysterious exit from our world. Was it suicide? Overdose? Murder? There are so many theories and many of us will never know the truth. In the meantime, here are some pics of gorgeous Marilyn to remember her.

Thank you for this memory-filled post!
I still think she is one of the sexiest and most beautiful women that Hollywood has ever known...or probably ever will know!
And isn't it funny that Hollywood has yet to come up with anyone that remotely resembles her? Who could come close to that smile and those dreamy eyes....
Ahhh, Marilyn.....we do so miss you.....

Thanks for all the awesome pics, Kori! Marilyn was truly one of the most beautiful women ever, no doubt...she kinda boggles my mind at times, but that is pretty hard to explain in words, anyway... :-] ...but it is just so sad that she was ultimately destroyed by the Hollywood 'machine', be it from suicide or other means...and is a sobering reminder that even today, this tragic result can happen... I mean, Lindsey Lohan is not anywhere NEAR the status of MM, but she is on a destructive path of her own making...and that is sad to see. Anna Nichole (again, not near MM status, but obviously she emulated MM) is another sad ending that could have been avoided.
Well, sorry to do a 'soap box', but just wish MM was still around today... sure she would still be making heads turn, not unlike Sophia Loren or Raquel Welch, two 'older' ladies who still rock!

Thanks agian, Kori!

My youngest daughter loves her and has posters of her. MM was a beauty and it's shame her life ended so early.

Wow! Almost 50 years!!! Can you imagine what she would look like if she were still around today. I don't think we'd have the same infatuation with her as a sex symbol. It's tragic, but she will always be exemplify "forever young"

Our journey has begun!… secretly though

If I’ve left you this message, you’re a follower of my original blog ~OR~ just someone I’ve happened upon while sending out these invites and that I would LOVE for to come along for the ride! Though I won’t be revealing who I am just yet – until we’re TO and THROUGH the first trimester! Just getting the word out about our new site – further explanation of all the secrecy and what we’re about on my first post. I’d love for you to stop by.

Exciting things going on around here!

I have written posts about this lovely woman in the past. I am always happy when someone pays tribute to Marilyn Monroe. She did not have a firm foundation in her childhood and she became someone we all looked up to. And she wasn't a sickly thing woman, she was a curvy nice size. You picked a nice variety of photos in your post. I always like the pensive look.
