What do you think of Kara? I love her as a judge, but I know some don't care for her. I'm not overly thrilled Ellen is the newest judge. I'm not really sure what her qualifications are. I have to say that I do not miss Paula. So glad her and her crazy comments are gone. Here are some pics of Kara. Tell me what you think.

I love American Idol, but here in the UK we have no idea who Kara IS! or exactly why she's on the panel. She seems OK, though.
Re Ellen: I'm clueless as to why she's been picked, unless they hope she'll be very outspoken and controversial. I'm sure there are loads of people out there who would be better, especially if they happen to know something about music.
Can't say I'm looking forward to seeing her, though on the other hand we could all be pleasantly surprised. I'm trying to think positive here...
Don't watch Idol, so I have no idea who she is; I must say, she's pretty, though. And I'm curious enough about Ellen on the show that I just may have to watch!

I really don't watch idol any more. Sometimes the early shows for a goof...so I don't know much about Kara.
I am wondering what will happen if Kara, Ellen and Howard Stern are the judges next year.
I mean, it already is called "American Karaoke"...

She may have camera appeal but that hardly qualifies her to judge others...... I feel these kind of shows are full of schmutz anyway!! LOL!! JMO!!

I know it's been forever since I dropped by! Do forgive, dear :) I have only watched a few episodes of Idol and while I don't know who Kara is in terms of the music industry, she's pretty spot on with her judgements.

I really like Kara. I think she's a natural beauty and I like her style. I also think she's the best judge on the panel. She's honest, but also gives constructive criticism. It was a great idea last year to phase Paula out and put her in!
I can't really decide if I like her or not. I know she has the credentials but some of the things she writes... yikes.
I only like Kara when she puts conceited people in their place like bikini girl from last year. I like Ellen and I think it's great she was added to the show. I think she was added for entertainment value...this is a tv show and ratings matter just as much as judge qualifications. Plus, I'm sure Randy, Simon and Kara's qualifications make up for whatever Ellen doesn't have as far as music goes.

Kara is growing on me somewhat... she is quite fetching, for sure... Paula was getting a bit 'stale', although I liked her...actually, a LOT...she was in her 'heyday' when I was in HS, and thought she was pretty hot then... and, being a dancer, bet she is a Ginger fan, so, there you go...
Wonder if Randy is leaving next?
...BTW, the new 'rumor' which sure most of y'all know anyway, is that Simon is to be replaced by...Howard Stern. That would just be a bit much...if folks like him, that's cool, I guess, but he is a bit too 'intense' for my tastes... and I just don't see him working out on the show...
I haven't watch AI for a really long time. I actually haven't seen her in action. I think Ellen will do well, I might just tune in for a few rounds to see her :)
I haven't watched Idol for many seasons now, I think season 2 was the last one I watched all the way through.
That said, I do flip occasionally to it during another show's commercial breaks ... I don't mind Kara ... she's vivacious and honest and I think a real asset to the show. Paula was nuttier than a fruitcake in July.
I like Ellen, she's a big music lover so that qualifies her for me! And I think she'll bring some much needed humor against Simon's biting comments!

We don't get American television over here, so I feel like I'm super out of the loop. I'm not really sure what is going on in American pop culture at all anymore! I try to read some MSN and other new sites to try and stay at least informed, haha. I don't know who this is either, she looks pretty cute. I don't think I'm very into the last outfit on her though! ;)
