We're coming up on the end of the year and it's time to remember those who have passed this year. There were several celebrities who have left us this year and I wanted to remind you of them in a sort of tribute. I hope any of you who have had friends or family pass on this year have a better, healthy year in 2010.

--Michael Jackson 1958-2009
--Steven Gilborn (played Ellen's dad on "Ellen" and other minor character roles)
--Pat Hingle who was in over 200 roles including the Commissioner in the 1990's Batman films
--Olga San Juan actress and dancer known for her sauciness
--Cheryl Holdridge actress, singer, and dancer best known for her Mouseketeer work on "The Mickey Mouse Show"
--Don Galloway who played Detective Sergeant Dan Brown in "Ironside," popular tv show.
--Henry Endo actor known for his role in Hawaii 5-0
--Ricardo Montalban actor who was most known for his role in "Fantasy Island"
--Bob May actor who played the robot in 1960's "Lost in Space"
--John Updike famous author who won the Pulitzer Prize
--Philip Carey actor who had nearly 100 film and television credits, including "Operation Pacific" in 1951 and "All My Children"
--James Whitmore actor best known recently for his role as Brooks in 1994's "The Shawshank Redemption"
--Estelle Bennett singer and member of the original Ronettes
--Natasha Richardson actress in many films and daughter of legendary Lynn Redgrave
--Jane Bryan actress who married the head of Rexall drugs and quit acting early on
--Nick Adenhart Angels pitcher who died much too young
--Bea Arthur actress known best for "Maude" and "Golden Girls"
--Dom DeLuise actor who had many funny roles
--David Carradine actor who was known for his role in "Kung Fu"
--Ed McMahon actor, cohost of the Johnny Carson show

These are by no means all of those who passed, just a small sampling. Have a great Friday friends!

Boy...we sure did lose some great people this year! How sweet of you to remember them.

I'm so thankful to have been entertained by these wonderful and talented people, I hope they will someday entertain me in heaven...wouldn't that be wonderful?!

I often drive by the intersection where Nick Aden Adenhart was senselessly killed by a drunk driver, never do I pass without a big lump in my throat and teary eyes.

Those lists always make me remember the fun I had watching the talented people. Remembering them alive and sharing what talents they were given.

Thanks for the list and lovely pictures you found of the dearly departed.

Being of a certain age, I grew up in the Communist-threat-disguised-as-sci-fi-movie era and one of my favorites was "Them!" with James Whitmore as Sgt. Ben Peterson. Giant radioactive ants! I even loved him when he was doing plant fertilizer commercials!

What a great tribute! I loved Bea Arthur on Golden Girls. And who will ever forget Ricardo Montalban on Fantasy Island. I still remember my sister walking around saying, "da plane, da plane," lol.

Your pasta dinner sounds delish!

Hugs,
Gigi
