Hey there friends! I finished the NaNo requirement of 50,000 words for November, but am having a hard time getting inspired to revise. Maybe because I feel there is nothing waiting for me at the finish line? I need some help as to what the next step is. I'm new to all this. Is there something I can do to submit something to an agent or someone? Anyone have any ideas for me? I know my blogger friends will know! Thanks all!

I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I do send my encouragement. I know you can reach your goal. And I know you are a wonderful writer by reading your posts. I have faith that your book will be published.
Nope, I'm clueless about that area of life. I recommend you take a little break and have a nice glass of wine and a few chunks of cheese! This will help :-)
WOW!!! Congrats are in order!!!!! That was such a huge undertaking and you totally did it =o) You ROCK!
Email me...I have ideas for you...too long to go into here.
I love that "The One that I Want" is playing right now...I have my original LP and a Grease trash can at my parents house...I know you are jealous!

oh i cant help you on that one xxxxx
I know how hard it is to get your head wrapped around it sometimes, but it will come.
I'm not sure what you should do next but I hope it all goes well!
Congratulations! I am no help and have no advice (sorry), but I'm so excited that you finished! Woot woot!
I am no help in this area either! My only advice would be to maybe talk to Coralie, who won your Liz Taylor giveaway. I know that she wrote a book that was published. I hope that you do pursue this, because I would love to eventually read a book written by you!
Have a great weekend!

As a fellow NaNo girl... my book sits on my computer. I have yet to read it. I want it to sit awhile. I had to get away from it... it was quite the challenge, and by then end, I.was.sick.of.it.
Here's my plan... I am going to have my husband print it out for me... all 240 pages, and I'm going to sit down and read it through between Christmas and New Years.
I am sure it will be hysterical. The only editing I did as I wrote was to correct typos as they popped up. That's it. I know I will have plot problems, stupid sounding dialogue, etc. I am looking forward to reading it though, and seeing if it even makes sense.
If you find anything interesting out from anyone, plz let me know. There are also suggestions on the Nano website for those that finished.
Good to have someone in the same boat!

Congrats on making it through the month, that's awesome! In regards to revising it, I would set it to the side and take a break. Some time away might give you the inspiration and energy to tackle it again. In terms of submitting it somewhere, I don't have any specific sites to refer you to unfortunately but I tend stalk publisher sites. lol Good luck!
How'd I miss this? Wish I had some clever insight for you...I hope you get the help you need.
Congratulations again on finishing the NaNoWriMo marathon! Until recently, I did a lot of freelance writing and editing, and have done TONS of preemptive research into the publishing industry to find homes for the novels that I don't have finished yet.
I'd be happy to help you if you need someone to proofread or edit for you, or point you in the direction of what the heck to do next. If you'd like, just shoot me an email. But it sounds like you have a volunteer in Holly, too, so good luck! :)
