Writer's Block

Well, I'm finally starting to dread writing this novel. Some of you might know that I have signed up for National Novel Writing Month, where you commit to writing 50,000 by the end of November. It doesn't have to be good, you just need to meet the word count. December is for revising. I have some good ideas, but they are getting very confused and I am finally starting to experience a little writer's block. AARRRRRGGGGHHHH! Any ideas from anyone out there? I need some help! Hope you are having a great night!

I commend you for taking this challenge! The only thing that helps me get over writer's block is to take a walk in the fresh air - early morning!

Whoooshka! 50,000 words by the end of November? I don't think I could even read that many words let alone write them! Good on you for taking the challenge.

#1--narrow it down to one idea. #2--start writing a letter to someone about it. I've always had luck getting started that way, it just seems that the juices start flowing when I'm directing the idea at a particular person. Probably won't work for everyone but sure works for me! Good luck--we all know how fickle the writing muse can be.

I find that my writer's block doesn't usually last too long, but I've never been able to escape it...I'm no help :) Good luck with the challenge, you'll do it!

I wish I could offer some great advice, but alas, I was not gifted with the talent of writing skills at all! :-(

This may sound a lil weird & I promise you dear that I'm not a drunk. Why don't you sit back, put the notebook or laptop away for a few moments, have a lil glass of wine, and just breathe. The wine will let calm you down a lil bit & maybe in your relaxed state you can think a lil more clearly? I wanted to do this challenge but alas I think I'm going to wait for next year. Good luck with the challenge dear. You can do it!!!

Good luck. I always hated when I tried to do research papers in college and would get stumped trying to think of where to go next. And yours is a whole lot bigger so I hope you can manage to come out of the terrible WB.
